What are the possible reasons for the motor failing to start? In such cases, what
should I do? |
There are three main reasons for starting failure – lack of power supply, jamming of impeller, and capacitor failure. Firstly, check the incoming power supply. If that is alright, it is possible for the impeller to be jammed. In that case, make the pump set free. Else, the capacitor might have failed and may require replacement. |

What do I do if the fuse blows off frequently or if the pump set consumes excessive power? |
Select suitable pump set if the total head is higher than specified. In case the delivery pipe gate valve is partially opened, adjust it so it opens fully. |

Why does the bearing have a short life and what should be done to
extend it? |
Excessive grease, improper lubrication, imbalanced rotor and shaft protrusion are some of the major factors that reduce shaft life. Therefore, it must always be ensured that the shaft is adequately lubricated and excessive grease is wiped out. If the shaft is excessively out or if the rotor is out of balance, then the respective parts (shaft / rotor) must be replaced. |
